Hello and welcome!
Hi!
I’m Emma!
And I care for Carers.
In my mid-twenties I found myself as a first-time mum, Wifey, holding down a job and caring for my best friend who happened to be my Mum.
Mum was battling a GBM Stage IV brain tumour. She died 16 months after diagnosis.
What I remember of that time is complete overwhelm and isolation. My friends were amazing, but I wanted to talk to someone who ‘got’ all the practical, emotional and mental ‘stuff’ that went with being a carer. I wanted to feel seen, heard and understood.
I also felt that way when deep in grief.
5 years later I’m now a Mama to 3, still a Wifey to 1 and founder of The Carers Club.
This is a space for everyone! It doesn’t matter what challenges or diagnoses your Loved One is facing, whether you’re living with your Loved One or supporting from afar. You’re welcome here.
You’re welcome if you’ve lost a Loved One and looking for a community who understands your grief. We are here for you.
And you’re especially welcome if you’re a friend of a carer and here to learn how to best support them – you’re amazing! Thank you!
I hold monthly support circles and one on one support. I also collaborate with other like-minded organisations. Our Facebook group is also an excellent space to connect.
Remember this is your community and you’re not alone!
I’m all ears on how I can best serve you! So please let me know what you would love to see or receive from me.
Much love,
Em x
